{Blessing}

On 10/10/10 we blessed sweet Paxton! All our family and good friends came to celebrate the day with us. Preston gave a wonderful blessing and we are so grateful for him and his priesthood. My biggest fear was that Paxton wasn't going to be asleep/good for the blessing (seriously never prayed so hard for a baby to be good) but he was a little angel! He was awake the whole time and according to the boys he just sat in his daddy's arms and kicked and looked at everyone. After the blessing we had a luncheon at a park and enjoyed the afternoon with everyone.  I am so thankful to have such an amazing little family and I love my two boys sooo much!

{Picture-aholic}

Yes I know. I'm sick. I'm obsessed with pictures! Like really and truly addicted! Paxton is just over 2 months old and I already have over 1,000 pictures of him! Sick=AWESOME! Totally love that I have all of them but slightly stressed about organizing/blogging all of them. So I am going to do just one big giant post of all the random cute pictures I've taken of the Pax, so I apologize in advance that there are so many but I really just had to do it so I can move on. Enjoy the picture extravaganza!!!

{Stud Muffin}

When Paxton was one week old we had his pictures done professionally. Everyone who knows me knows how big of a deal it was to me that we get them done. I went through a lot to get them so I'm not going to scrimp about putting them on here.
But first a story of the day...
As some of you might know babies run on their own schedule...good for baby bad for photo shoot. The morning of our photo shoot I got up extremely early so I could get ready (mind you I've only been a mom for a week and this is the first time "getting ready") so I naively thought I could totally handle this.The photographer lives an hour away from us so I had to get us ready and nurse Paxton according to a time schedule that would get us there on time. I had the hardest time getting ready, between nursing and getting the baby to sleep and trying to look nice nothing was going as planned. Needless to say I was very stressed and very late. I called the photographer and asked if we could come later in the day but she didn't have any openings and this was the only time for a week she could work us in. (To get the really good newborn shots you have to come in before they are 10 days old Paxton was 7 days old.....total catastrophe in my world!!!) At this time we were running so incredibly late that I had no choice but to cancel the photos because there was no way in heck we could ever get there in time. Insert me hysterically balling here________. I literally called my mom crying so hard I couldn't breath. Crazy you say? It's just pictures you say? Not in my world. See pictures are my life, my everything, I had been planning on these pictures since before I even got pregnant and now I had to cancel them. HORRIBLE SOBBING. Sitting in my chair half ready and crying with a crying baby in my arms is when the photographer called and said she felt horrible and that if we could be there in 45 minutes she could work us in. Insert panic here_______ I had just cried off all my makeup and my face is now a swollen red mess, how in the crud do you take pictures when now you look like crap?! But if pictures are your life and all you've ever wanted are newborn pictures then when the photographer says come you come. I raced around the house getting Paxton the rest of the way ready and then we were off. I fixed my makeup in the car while Preston had to speed through traffic to get us down there in time while I was freaking out in the back seat. Fast forward to us FINALLY in the the photography studio...get baby naked check. Take first couple shots check. Not know that your newborn HATES HATES HATES to be naked....not checked! Paxton was pissed! This baby did not like to be naked at all! Screaming mad. So more crying from me here____. So about every oh I don't know say 3 photos I would have to sit down and nurse him to try and get him to stop screaming and fall asleep only long enough for him to wake up and realize that yes indeed he was naked again. It took 3 hours (2 longer then she said she had time for) to get Paxton's pictures done and the entire time my poor baby screamed and kicked until he was nursing, only once did he fall asleep long enough for us to take some pictures with props. After we were finished and he was in clothes again he was the happiest sweetest baby who fell asleep and was all moldy like how you see other newborns. :/  So we left crossing our fingers and praying that she was able to get shots of him not screaming and kicking.

When I got the pictures back I cried because I was so happy!
You couldn't even tell that he was so mad in them and that I had been balling my eyes out!
She was able to get some really good pictures....praises I sang praises!

So with great pleasure I give you....STUD MUFFIN
