I love photography. What, you knew that? Well I do. I consider myself my little family's historian, the memory keeper if you will. I love to document what is happening in our lives through photography. A self proclaimed
"Momarazzi", I always have my camera trained on Paxton. I am just so desperate not to miss any moment because unlike the Hubs I do not have a photographic memory. My mom has album upon album documenting our lives growing up and my Grandpa took thousands of slides of their lives. Tradition? Yes, I think that the importance of taking pictures to document memories is in my blood from Grandpa and my mom. I have loved taking pictures since probably before I can remember, and have albums full of my furry models Chance, Randy & Mowmow, my childhood animals who were always my willing subjects. I took photography camps during my summers, in High School I was the yearbook photographer and my very first job was at Inkley's (a photography store). So yes I love it. Pictures are me and I am pictures. They make me who I am.
With that said, I desperately need to organize all my pictures, just to give you an idea I have 367 pictures of Christmas this year. Yeah I know. And I am getting annoyed with just plastering them all on here. So I have been looking for some ways to display and store all my pictures. So here are some ideas I have found while stalking design and craft blogs.
I want this stairway, love the way the photo's are displayed and I love the actual stairs too! ;)
I already plan on doing this in the nursery
Love this!
One day I'm doing this when I have a house that has a good foyer or hallway :)
Again pictures in a hallway = Love
One day I'll have a wall covered like this
I just got a huge cork board from the Hubs that I am going to do something like this on and put it in Paxton's room
I'm making one of these too with Paxton's cool 8/9/10
Already bought my extra large clothes pin to do this!
I want to make one of these. Bad.
I'm in the process of making a silhouette of Paxton right now!
Mmmmmm big square of photog love!
Nothing better then just some gallery wrapped canvas!
I see a big J in our future
Another great stairway
Old window & pictures, YAY!
I
WANT this for my Birthday this year so I can document Paxton's next year. It's called Project Life by
Becky Higgins LLC and it's a scrapbook that allows you to journal your everyday life. You take a photo a day and then write a little something about it. Instead of cutting pictures and needing all these scrapbook supplies you use plastic photo pages that she supplies and you get little journaling cards and a whole bunch more fun things. I like the idea of documenting this way. More my style. I LOVE IT! So much.
Here are some examples of some Project Life books:
These are from
Ali Edwards (who has TONS of cute ideas for PL)
I've decided to make some photo books through
Picaboo &
Shutterfly, I made one for my coffee table with Paxton's newborn pictures and Love it! I think I will make one of his first year too!
I bought one of these for myself for Christmas, 6 pictures can go on them. Now just which pictures?
I'm taking this course right now too, way fun so far! It's from
Willette Photography and is a free month long photography workshop!
Ohh and the last thing I need help with, I have like 25 ultrasound pictures of the peanut and have no idea how to store/display them?? Ideas?
I also really want to clean up my blog, I feel like it is sloppy and over run
with things not organized. To Do List... So much I want to do, now just to do it all!
