{Birth Story}

Paxton's birth story is pretty simple but everyone wants to hear it and seeing that he is almost 2 months I figure you've waited long enough. =)

Ever since the day I found out I was pregnant I wanted to have the baby a day before the "due date" so he could have a cool birthday which was 8/9/10 now some of you may wonder why we cared about that. Well Preston and I both have August birthdays along with my mom, sister and niece. So we figured if he had to share the month with the 5 of us then he should at least have a cool day!

No one thought I would make it all the way to my due date (neither did I) but I was hopeful and honestly by 30 weeks I didn't think I cared any more. But I just kept going week after week till I was 2 weeks out and was like "ok so totally have to have the cool day now since this boy is in no hurry to come early". It also motivated me that our Dr. was going to be out of town the week before I was due and I wouldn't get to have him deliver if I went early. Those were the LONGEST 2 weeks of my life but also the fastest if that makes sense.  I got my wish though, Paxton had no intentions on coming early and waited till we had to "evict" him ;) We went in on Monday the 9th at 7:30am to get induced.  My mommy and Preston were there of course, so glad!

 Arriving at the hospital! (I'm huge!)

 Me and Grammy on the big day!

 Checking in

 Last photo of just us 2

 Checking out our room and getting very excited!

Last of  "Bump Watch 2010" it was a good ride!

I was officially induced at 9:30am, I was already dilated to 3cm  when we arrived so it was a waiting game to see how real contractions felt. I was nervous but it wasn't like I could back out of it now lol. This is were is gets really simple and kinda boring. Really Preston, mom and I just hung out and watched TV while watching the little machine tell me when I was having a contraction. I was actually very spoiled and never really got the the point were I was in a lot of pain. I remember around 11:45 am I was thinking.."Oh that kinda hurt, I guess that's what they (contractions) feel like". I said to myself that I wanted to wait as long as I could for the epidural. But at 12:30pm my nurse walked in and said they wanted to give me it now because they have a c-section scheduled and didn't want me to be left hanging waiting for the drug. So I never really had "pain" (I know, hate me) So at 12:30 I got the epidural which didn't hurt at all (YAY...I was scared of it). Then it was just more hanging out and waiting.

 See just hanging out and waiting ;)

 Ahh my hubs =)

My dad arrived a little later and joined the waiting with us all. Then around 3:00pm my Dr. came in a checked me and announced that I was ready! WOW! Did not feel prepared for that! Totally thought it was going to take longer then that! At 3:40ish I began to PUSH!!! We had my mom, dad, Preston's mom Kelly be in the room and my sister was on speaker phone from Idaho =) Everyone had "rules"  to follow and I have to say everyone was very good lol. Preston had the rocking chair right next to me to sit in just in case he got sick. He did awesome by the way, much better then what he thought he would.

Again pushing was really easy! I remember thinking, "Really? This is child birth? Not at all like on TV or in movies!"  Thanks to my awesome drugs it was a wonderful experience and we were all laughing the whole time! Really! My Dr. would make a joke right when I was having to push and I would lose my breath because I would start to laugh then he would make me start all over again.  (Sorry no "pushing" photos, it was part of the "rules")

Then after only an hour of pushing at 4:43pm with a little help from a vacuum because he was facing the wrong way, our little Paxton made his big reveal!!! Most exquisite, spiritual, amazing, emotional, surreal, special moments of my life (and Preston's I'm sure too!)  We had my dad (Poppy) cut the cord for us, I found out a little later that I had a series 5 episiotomy which pretty much means that on a scale from 1-5, 5 being the very worse you can tear I was a 5 which means I tore and I tore bad!  Had no idea that it happened but everyone else said they heard it.  Totally worth it and I said it then and I will say it again...EASY PEASY !!! Totally could give birth everyday if it went as easy as Paxton's!

Ok now enjoy the first pictures of magic with the most handsome boy in the world!!!

{D Day}

WE ARE HAVING A BABY TOMORROW!!!

Yup this is it people tomorrow we are having our little Paxton!!! We are going in at 7:15am and then the fun begins! We decided to get induced one day before his due date so that he could have the coolest birthday ever 8/9/10....I have said since the day  I found out that I was preggers that I wanted him to have that birthday so I guess I am getting my wish! YAY! I am excited/terrified about tomorrow but am ready to meet him, it's so surreal and still hasn't registered in my brain that tomorrow I will have a baby! CRAZY! My pregnancy has gone by so extremely fast!  I can't wait to see what he looks like!
My guess is lots of blonde hair, long eye lashes,  7lbs 6 oz, 18in long, born around 6pm. =)

Here is the end of bump watch 2010!!
38 Weeks

39 Weeks

And the GRAND FINALE
Last Day of being Pregnant!
Not too shabby if you ask me for being 40 weeks pregnant! =)

Wish us luck and say a prayer that everything will go smoothly for us! I promise to post pictures as soon as I can, I am having my parents bring a laptop to the hospital so hopefully I can get pictures up asap!

Ohh and a little note to Paxton =)

Paxton,
This is your mommy. I would like to let you know that the eviction process starts tomorrow morning at 7:15 am. The free ride is over kid. Not that it hasn't been great giving you my food and carrying you around for the last nine months but your father and I didn't raise a free-loader. So I am being a mean mommy and making you come a whole day early so you can have a totally awesome birthday 8/9/10. Now no back talking me on this one mister, your father agrees with me that this whole "staying comfy" in mommy thing is totally over, no complaining...don't make me call your father. So you have till 11:30pm to say your goodbyes and then the free rent is up. Failure to do so will result in being grounded for your entire life if you don't have the awesome birthday and your father and I will begin charging you the back payments for the "free-loading". Ok then as long as we are on the same page... WE ARE TOTALLY EXCITED TO MEET YOU!!!!

Love Mommy & Daddy

{Count Down}

Hello blogging world! Sorry I haven't been on here but there are just about 5,000 things I have been trying to get done before this little man gets here. Speaking of that...as of today I'm at a 3 and he is down and ready to go! So I figured I should hurry and get on here and post some things since I am like a time bomb and could explode at any minute LITERALLY!!

So here are the bump pictures up to now:
34 WEEKS

35 WEEKS

36 WEEKS

37 WEEKS

I am happy to say that I haven't swollen at all  YAY ME! I also have only gained 21 pounds again YAY ME! I have been able to paint my toe nails and shave my legs, I haven't needed any help getting dressed, have been able to wear my  wedding ring the whole time and can still curl up into a ball on the couch. Ohhh and I haven't gotten any stretch marks!!! I have to admit that I have had a pretty awesome pregnancy and am grateful that everything has gone so smoothly, other then the first two months and feeling like I had the flu during that time I have felt FANTASTIC the whole time! Sleeping like a rock for the average 12 hours a night and no pains or problems to speak of! Sorry if it seems like I'm bragging but it's my blog and I want to record how good I have felt this whole time...before I forget during labor hehehe.

Next on the agenda is to show some of the craftasticness I have been up to for his nursery!

Here's his barn star that I mod podge...although now I want to make one that is more the colors of his room which ended up being apple green and baby blue. Hmmm I guess some more craftasticness is in order! YAY!
A large Frame that again I mod podge (I'm addicted to that stuff) and here are a bunch of other things that I have made...Ohhh my mom made my nursing cover (that's her craftasticness)

Here is some of the art that I am doing crafty things with that I can't actually show you until his room is done but it gives you an idea =) OHH and NO copying me please I have worked really hard to make it awesome! ;)

There are a bunch of helicopters that I have that still need to be painted so I wont show you those until they are done and hung up!

Here is what Preston's craftasticness!!! He has been working really hard painting everything for me!
LOVE HIM!!!

BEFORE:
Preston's sister gave us this hutch for free =)
AFTER:
Preston painted it nice and black and we added some cute hardware =) I  lurv it!!
We still have the crib to paint and the changing table (poor Preston has been painting forever!)
But it will all look awesome when he is done!

We have finally decided on a full name for him =)
Paxton Hawk Jugler

So that's about all the time I have to put into the blog for now, hopefully the next post we will be introducing our littleMAN to you!!
